Your visit to La Cireși can be as high energy or relaxing as you wish. Chatting with friends on our huge patio is a perfect way to spend a weekend away from the city. For those who like a more active lifestyle, there is never a shortage of things to do.

A mere 150 meters from us is a beautiful tennis complex with three clay courts, very well maintained by our friend Valentin.

horseback riding

The Husar equestrian facility in Slănic (just up the hill from Vălenii de Munte) provides horseback rides across the surrounding hills, as well as a gourmet experience at one of the adjacent sheepfolds.

They provide alternatives for all levels of riders, from beginners to experts.

pizza  making

Our friend Alex is one of the managers of the “Pizza Mania” chain of restaurants, which you may have tried in Bucharest. In addition, Andrei's brother is one of the most promising young chefs in Romania and runs a school of pizza chefs.

Alex or Andrei can offer you a special gastronomic evening, where they will tell you about the secrets of making leaven pizza in a wood oven and demonstrate it to you right in our backyard. Be sure to ask for their Tartufata, with truffles from the hills around Vălenii de Munte.

We warmly recommend it, and we'll be happy to recommend and provide a good wine to match  the experience!

mushroom hunting

Our friend Tibi can offer half-day or full-day truffle (or just ordinary mushrooms) hunting trips in the forests near Valeni.

For more details, check Tibi's Youtube channel with more than 100,000 subscribers (TibiTips).

văleni market

A popular weekend activity recommended by many of our visitors is the 25-minute walk or 5-minute drive to the Saturday Valeni market, where locals bring their homemade products.

We guarantee you'll return home with a treasure trove of wonderful cheese, fresh veggies, meat and so much more.

Or you could simply grab a beer and eat some of the greatest mici around!
